Biography

No biography has yet done the great Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna justice.  The general of the Independance War, the Hero of Tampico, Emancipator of Slaves, Defeater of Napoleon, Defender of Liberty, Guardian of the Catholic Church, Peacemaker, and President and Vice-President of Mexico so many times it's hard to keep track.

Every time some politician tries something that is clearly not in Mexico's interest, Santa Anna and his elite Army of Operations are there to put them in their place.

Every time foreign-led subversive elements try to sow revolt in our great Republic, Santa Anna is there restore justice and order.

Every time the Indian raises a host with designs to rob and pillage across the North, Santa Anna is there to defend the innocent, coming both with peace and with the sword.

With all the military genius of Napoleon, the inspirational popularity of Bolivar, and the sober humility and statesmanship of Washington, Santa Anna is truly the greatest leader of our enlightened age.
