Masayoshi Hotta

A figure keen on reforming the Shogunate and ending the Sokoku policy, Hotta Masayoshi wishes to see a more liberal path from Japan. His great interest began with his contact with the Dutch and through them, Rangoku, Dutch knowledge. This contact he has maintained for years though to his contempt, always supervised. Ambitious and seeking a place in the future of Japan, he has often been marginalized for his unorthodox and anti-establishment ideals.
