Theocrat
born at the turn of the century, came from humble beginnings as a protestant raised Russian from a peasant family in Riga. He entered the clergy and studied the protestant bible with such vigour that he could recite any passage at will, and read many other books.
He became a priest running a local church. His mind fermented some of the most radical beliefs a devout mind can stew, he despised heretics and nobles, and dreamt of the coming hellfire that would sear their flesh with brimstone for their conceit before the lord. He is disillusioned by the orthodoxy of his parent's native Russia, and wants to see every boyar and tsar stripped of power that he thinks belongs to men of the cloth.
However, he would not enter the public spotlight until The Great Polish Uprising. When entire divisions of polish cavalry descended on Riga, he refused to evacuate across the river, instead praying alone in his church. When the polish cavalry were nearly knocking at the gates, he swung them open himself and hurled a farming sickle several yards forward, directly into the eye socket of a commander on horseback, killing him instantly in a display for most of Riga to see from across the river. Voroshilov quickly boarded himself up inside the church before the Polish could retaliate. And thankfully, Pahlen's counterattack timely forced the Polish back before the church doors could be breached.
His display garnered him a large following and a medal from Pahlen.
Imbued with fame, he suddenly felt a lot more comfortable preaching what he really thinks to all his followers. Many found him to be too violent and unchristian, but his messages also resonated with many. He became too popular though, and was quickly under scrutiny from the senate for some of his alleged comments. He left before he could be arrested, scampering off to Berlin for a while, but there he found the message of the Phantom Thief, and decided this was the advancement opportunity he needed. He loves what the Golden Mask had done, enforcing asceticism on gamblers who waste their wealth on games of chance. He will join the meeting with the intent to join in further plans if they target heretics or nobles, he has the book smarts to make plans work and the cruelty to not let mear roadblocks such as human lives to stop him.
