Takachika Mori

A subtle supporter of the emperor, Takachika Mori has plans to see Japan beyond the rule of the decadent Shoguns in Edo. His daimyo lordship in Western Japan is a traditional rival to the Tokugawa clan and he has become a rallying-point for those opposed to the Tokugawa Shogunate. Yet he carefully navigates the complexities of the Shogunate and does not openly speak against Tokugawa Ienari, rather he bides his time, waiting for the right opportunity to make a move. At such youth however, one mistake can lead to disaster and his advisors around him constantly argue for him to pursue caution at all costs.

In order to shore up his support amongst urban classes, Takachika Mori has signed a letter to free the supposed Nagasaki resident named Yan Nie from the claws of the corrupt and infiltrated governor of Guangdong.
