The Khalsa Raj's Rajah Kapur Nalwa considers unacceptable the creation of a Pashtun entity named Kabul, criticizes Persian leniency towards Pashtuns and repudiates the breach of previous Sikh-Persian deals, warning them that this will only lead to a worsening Sikh's relation with Persia.

The road to war is paved with sabre-rattling declarations.

The Maratha's Emperor presents Khalsa Raj ruler, Ranjit Sindh, with a dilemma, pick between an awful deal in which Khalsa Raj accepts Maratha's control over Sindh, or the sword. Raja Sindh accepts neither and proposes a trial by combat (ruler vs ruler) between the rulers of both nations, war breaks.

Kabul soldiers raid the border with the Khalsa Raj and reach Jamrud

Pasthun soldiers from Kabul  have been conducting raids on the border with the Khalsa Raj, with some of their members were spotted on Jamrud, and after a brief skirmish, they were taken prisioners by the Sikh general Mahan Singh.

This morning, Khalsa Raj has broken all relations with the Emirate of Kabul, claiming that the captured soldiers confirmed Kabul involvement and that the raid had a clear military purpose of testing the speed and reaction abilities of the Khalsa army.

Mahan Singh, the general who intercepted the Pasthun soldiers and spotters, has also claimed that the raid also had the purpose of gathering intelligence about the weak spots of the Jamrud Fort, which it's solid evidence that the incident had been coordinated with the Kabul authorities and army weeks prior before the attack and points to the presence of spotters and members of Kabul intelligence apparatus.

Rangit Sikh, the Head of State of Khalsa Raj, has stated that this is a clear breach of the treaty signed after the Battle of Nowshera/Naushahra, and has authorized "special measures" to deal with the "threat of Durrani empire revivalism and Sunni yihadism" and has sent the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dhian Singh, in a mission to look for potential allies and supporters for "a punitive expedition against Durrani irredentism"

The Emir of Kabul, Dost Barakzai,  denies the allegations by claiming the "militants had no direct link with the Durrani army", and had accussed Khalsa Raj of "looking for an excuse to start a war", while claiming that they are "the rightful heirs of the Durrani Empire, which never dissolved itself", and has rallied the Pasthun people to unify under his command and seek protection in Kabul from any retaliatory action by the Sikh kaffirs.

It seems the situation has reached a boiling point, and hostilities may be soon in the horizon. Will a new chapter of the Afghan–Sikh Wars be added to history or will they be able to solve their differences and peacefully turn the pages of History. Only time will tell.
