April 14th, 1815 · The Shattered Congress
Major-General Andrey Savvich Glebov (KKonradt)
Victory against the Austrian battalion south by south-west of Krakow. Poor ground from spring thaw left cannon unpositioned, primary detachment was exposed to charge. Cavalry performed admirably. Attached is a list of officers recommended for new honors.
The enemy was forced to retreat westward through the highlands, with heavy losses. Per existing directives, pursuit was not attempted. Several usable cannon were abandoned and have been seized.
Reports indicate a larger Austro-English host near Liptovska, the two will likely meet within days. Push north expected. With the quieting down of the Western front after France and Britain failed to continue past the Rhine, we consider it likely that intense fighting will break out in Poland soon, and the situation could turn bleak against Russia as Britain mobilizes its Empire.
Ordering a retrenchment to Czarna Gora, to prepare for prolonged defense of the bridge. Will await news from the Tarnopol front and from High Command.
Requesting an increased number of troops to reinforce our front, and fresh supplies. Boots a priority.
Long live the Tsar. All glory to Mother Russia.
