The joint Prussian-Swedish forces have achieved a series of encouraging victories across North and East Germany this month, driving back the British-Hanoverian forces under Wellington. These gains have completely secured Prussia's flanks and opened the prospect of advances toward the Hanoverian heartland.
Regrettably, the picture along the Rhine has not shown improvement. The front has settled into a grinding stalemate, with neither side able to force a crossing. Some sources have declared the conditions along the front as 'miserable', as the lack of supply from British blockades begins to take its toll.
We can only hope that the gains in the North can be leveraged to turn the situation in Prussia's favor.
