Khalsa Raj
Jammu
Dear readers:
It seems that there has been an unfortunate misunderstanding between Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu and Rajah Kapur Nalwa of Khalsa Raj, after Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu stated that they were both equals, because even if it's true that Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu is a vassal of the Khalsa Raj, Rajah Kapur Nalwa of Khalsa Raj is also a vassal of the Maratha's, therefore both are equals as they are in a similar situation.
Rajah Kapur Nalwa of Khalsa Raj face has gone red of anger due to the sheer audacity and bold disrespect, and has told Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu to mince his words, warning him of the direct consequences of his open defiance, which would lead to an open war.
Rajah Kapur Nalwa has stated that he's not a vassal of the Maratha's but "only a tributary", therefore the situations are not comparable, has remarked that they are not equals, and that Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu is his direct vassal and should behave like one.
Some people have characterized Rajah Kapur Nalwa's reaction to be quite passionate, demanding or even threatening, but Rajah Kapur Nalwa of Khalsa Raj is extremely annoyed because he's considered by some of his people as an usurper and a puppet king of the Maratha's, and Rahaj Gulab Singh public statement clearly remarks and give more validity to that belief and opinion.
This is an opinion that Rajah Kapur Nalwa wants to desperately keep in check and, just when he is making his best efforts to be considered popular by his people and subjects alike, an incident happens in which his legitimacy is openly questioned in public by his vassal Rahaj Gulab Singh.
We can't tell for sure how the situation is going to develop next, whether the diplomatic incident is going to be fixed or if it will lead to a bigger conflict, but it seems that an excuse and a justification for open conflict has been provided due to the diplomatic blunder of Rajah Gulab Singh of Jammu.
We hope to update our readers as soon as the diplomatic issue further develops.
