New York, 1836 · The Long Thaw
By player
A group of prominent Americans of culture and sophistication have gathered in New York to establish a cultural organization for the promotion of the new American way of life. The creed of the group is a simple one: Democracy, freedom and property. Controversially, being a Freemason is a pre-requisite for joining the group.
To spread their ideals beyond the border of the United States, the New Order has petitioned Congress for funding and invited prominent officials from the State Department to join the organization. Secretary Forsyth has taken a keen interest in the group and is rumored to even be a member. A favorable sign for their influence on foreign policy.
The group also sent representatives to Texas in Guyana, hoping for the country to be the first foreign associate of the organization.
